El Maguey Mexican Restaurant in Lake Saint Louis

Our food was great and came out fast. There was a wide variety of choices on the menu. The service was great as well. I will definitely be going back.

The service was very fast considering business volume and everyone was nice, however the ratio of meat to vegetables in the mixed fajitas dish was laughable. I was forced to dig and pinch out what tiny fragments of steak were in the pan, I’ve never seen such a sad ratio before, it was obvious they were skimping on the meat. The vegetables were barely recognizable slop, I would be embarrassed if I took a friend here and they were served this. I don’t know if they just happened to run out of steak or what.. I may try the place again and just avoid that dish? Compared to the Mexican place in New Melle, with big plump meat and bright fresh veggies, what I was served was borderline unacceptable, but I was in a hurry..

The absolute best margaritas, chips/salsa and service. Fast, friendly and fun! What more could a girl want?!

Good food, good service, good atmosphere. The waitress we had was very polite and attentive to our needs. The portions were more than enough for a meal for the next day too.

The food could be much better, however, it is not satisfactory in my opinion, I have ate Mexican food at other place and it is absolutely great. The food here is very simple, I dislike too much cheese in everything. Not everyone likes cheesy food. I which it was better, because I do like Mexican food and the people are amazing. God bless.

I really enjoy eating at El Maguey! Maybe that's the frozen margaritas speaking, but it has become one of my favorite go to restaurants.

I forgot I am not in Texas, I miss my Papasitos Fajitas. Service was horrible, people are here for the Margaritas.

This place is spectacular! My wife’s favorite dish was taken off the menu and they have still made it for her multiple times to make a customer happy. Today was even more amazing, the manager Erik took the initiative to leave the building and buy the ingredients that they needed to make the dish since they don’t have them anymore... this is truly 5 star service and whatever they are paying him isn’t enough. Our food is always fresh and hot, and they always go above and beyond. Thank you Erik and thank you El Maguey!

Never had anything bad from this location. Gets kind of crowded during dinner rush times but the wait is never very long. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants.

My absolute favorite place to stop and eat Mexican food. During all this Corona nonsense, we cant go. Ordered takeout tonight, and it was right, hot, and fantastic! Want to thank all of you for showing you care in making a family's meal so enjoyable during all this! Keep it up! So you know, this might be the second review ive left....ever

Atmosphere was nice, drinks were good. Our waitress took care of us. Food was excellent. Been there multiple time have not been disappointed. Highly recommended to anyone.

This place is AMAZING. There is not one bad thing I’ve had here. The owners and staff are so friendly and down to earth! From the sushi, apps, soups, and entrees , they do it right! Such great flavor combos! We love the chicken broccoli and char crong but honestly it’s all great. Definitely go here!

This place has a great energy and the staff is very kind and patient with our kids. 100% of the time we have a wonderful family night out. This is our favorite location because our kids love the coin machines at the entrance.

Let me start by saying I don't usually like to post a lot of negative reviews because you need to always be mindful of what someone might be going through. I really like this place because the food is always good, service is always fast and always hot. Every time we have been there the employees don't seem very happy, like they just don't want to be there. Just wanted to say being polite and smiling a little goes a long way!

I highly recommend El Maguey. Although mispronounced quite often, it is imperatively a thrill everytime I go. Delicious food, wonderful service, and an authentic atmosphere that reflects my favorite parts of Latino cuisine.

They have consistently good food that is well prepared, and they are pretty quick too. They are our go-to choice for take-out dinners or quick dine in meals. The quality and flavor of the steak and chicken are really the best part.
